Vision
Festival of Undiscovered Grapes celebrates a different side of California wine—one shaped by more than 100 lesser-known grape varieties with deep roots in the state’s history. Though these grapes make up only a small fraction of California plantings today, they represent a rich and often overlooked part of the state’s wine story.
The festival exists to:
- Shine a light on the growers and producers keeping these varieties alive
- Introduce more wine lovers to the quality, character, and diversity of these lesser-known wines
- Create opportunities for discovery across wineries, regions, and styles
- Make it easy to bring home new favorites by offering delivery from multiple wineries for one low fee
