About: The Pedroncelli story is the immigrant experience coming to life as the American dream. Founded in 1927 by Giovanni & Julia Pedroncelli, we are a four-generation family winery and grape growers for 98 years.

We have ridden the waves of progress and technology staying true to ourselves and our style. We set our sights on what is important: sharing our wines with generations of wine lovers. We want people to sip and savor the moment whether it is an experience on our estate or at home. Our wines tell the story of longevity, craftmanship and integrity-they tell the story of vintage and vineyard one glass at a time.

What is your favorite undiscovered grape? Sangiovese! The grape itself is famous in Italy but here in California is creates its own delicious and intriguing red wine. I call it California Chianti for short.

What was your first experience with an undiscovered grape? Among the first ‘undiscovered’ grapes I found was a Fiano–so different than the traditional white wines I was familiar with from California. Crisp, deep flavors with a beautiful nose–refreshing and paired well with the seafood dish I was having.

What do you love most about the undiscovered grapes? Undiscovered grapes are the hidden jewels in the wide world of wine. Find one and share it with others who may not know about it. You’ll treasure the moment and be inspired to find more hidden jewels.
